U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris stated that she will not uphold the policies of President Joe Biden’s administration and plans to establish her own strategic direction if she wins the election.
During a CNN event in Aston, Pennsylvania, Harris remarked, “My administration will not simply extend the Biden administration’s policies. I will assume the presidency with my own ideas and experiences. I embody a new generation of leadership on various issues and believe that we must adopt fresh approaches.”
According to CNN, Vice President Kamala Harris also criticized her Republican opponent, Donald Trump, labeling him as “unstable” and “incompetent to serve the country.” She referred to Trump as a “fascist” and a threat to American democracy, stating, “I believe that Donald Trump is a danger to the prosperity and security of the United States.”
In response, former President Trump accused Harris of “showing off” after stepping in for Biden in the 2024 presidential campaign. The Republican candidate also asserted that Harris posed a threat to democracy and was unfit for the presidency.
At the CNN event in Aston, Harris promised to address rising food prices and pledged to implement a new approach to healthcare policy. When asked about her stance on expanding the U.S. Supreme Court from its current nine justices, she stated, “I believe there needs to be some kind of court reform, and we can study what that actually looks like.”
Regarding the situation in the Middle East, Vice President Harris emphasized that it is the right time to end the conflict and expressed her outrage at the loss of innocent Palestinian lives.
